BARAMULLA: A mega Information, Education and Communication (IEC) campaign under the Dharti Aaba Janjatiya Gram Utkarsh Abhiyan (DAJGUA) was organized at Katianwali in Block Baramulla as part of ongoing efforts to promote inclusive development in tribal areas.

The programme was attended by Member Legislative Assembly (MLA) Javed Hassan Beigh, DDC Member Baramulla, Additional District Development Commissioner Baramulla and other officers from various departments besides the local community.

Campaign aimed to ensure 100% saturation of key government schemes in identified tribal villages by enhancing awareness, improving accessibility, and encouraging active community participation. It focuses on delivering benefits related to health, education, nutrition, skill development, livelihood, and infrastructure at the grassroots level.

The event witnessed enthusiastic participation from local residents. Various departments set up information stalls to raise awareness about welfare schemes and services available to tribal communities.

Traditional tribal cultural performances were also held, reflecting the rich cultural identity of the region and encouraging community engagement.
