GANDERBAL: In line with the ongoing Dharti Aaba Janjatiya Gram Utkarsh Abhiyan (DA-JGUA), a special buffer camp was successfully organized today at Mammer, Block Kangan, with the aim of accelerating outreach and ensuring last-mile delivery of welfare schemes to the tribal communities residing in the region.

The camp witnessed enthusiastic participation from tribal households, especially members of the Gujjar and Bakarwal communities, who availed on-the-spot services and information about key government schemes including PM-JANMAN, PM-JAY SEHAT, Mission Shakti, PMAY-G, Pension schemes, scholarships for ST students, and livelihood initiatives under NRLM.

Line departments including Health, ICDS, Social Welfare, Education, Rural Development, Animal Husbandry, and Agriculture had set up facilitation counters, offering citizens support in application processing, document verification, health checkups, and scheme enrollment. The resource persons present sensitized the tribal populace about their rights, entitlements, and the government’s focus on holistic tribal development, education, entrepreneurship, and digital empowerment under the PM-JANMAN and DA-JGUA framework.

Special focus was placed on empowering tribal women and youth, enhancing access to quality healthcare, promoting indigenous culture, and enabling socio-economic mobility through skill-based programs. The event concluded with community representatives expressing gratitude to the Prime Minister for bringing such inclusive governance mechanisms directly to remote tribal belts. Officials reaffirmed their commitment to sustaining this momentum and ensuring that no eligible tribal household is left behind.
