SHOPIAN: Continuing its outreach to encourage entrepreneurship in rural belts, District Industries Centre (DIC) Shopian on Saturday held an awareness programme under the Raising and Accelerating MSME Performance (RAMP) initiative at the Government Higher Secondary School, Zainapora.
The session attracted participation of over 75 individuals, including MSME entrepreneurs, NRLM members, local artisans, skilled youth, and small traders. The objective was to educate attendees about the relevance of Udyam Registration and familiarize them with key government schemes tailored for micro and small enterprises.
The event featured the active involvement of officials from DIC Shopian, who conducted informative discussions and extended on-the-spot guidance to the participants. They underscored the importance of formalizing enterprises and leveraging available schemes to foster business growth.
A detailed and engaging interaction followed, wherein participants were guided through the Udyam Registration process and step-wise explanation. The officials answered a wide range of queries from eligibility criteria, documentation, and portal navigation to benefits like access to institutional finance, priority lending, marketing support, and exemption from certain registrations.
