GANDERBAL: In view of the upcoming Shri Amarnath Ji Yatra (SANJY)–2025, Deputy Commissioner (DC) Ganderbal, Jatin Kishore today visited the Baltal Base Camp to take firsthand assessment of the ongoing preparations and chaired a meeting with concerned officers to review the arrangements being made to ensure a smooth and hassle-free Yatra.

During the meeting, DC was briefed by officers from various departments regarding the status of arrangements put in place.  The administration has made elaborate preparations including camping facilities, medical care, upgradation of tracks, uninterrupted power and water supply, sanitation, and improved mobile connectivity.

DC reviewed key infrastructure components such as accommodation facilities, sanitation, essential services, and overall preparedness for the arrival of pilgrims at the Baltal Base Camp. Most departments informed that they have already finalized their preparations for the Yatra.

While appreciating the efforts of departments for timely execution of the works, DC emphasized the need for further fine-tuning of arrangements in the remaining days to ensure every aspect is addressed meticulously. Later, DC, accompanied by SSP Ganderbal, inspected arrangements at Domail and the Pony Stand. He expressed satisfaction over the arrangements in place and directed officials to maintain coordination for any last-minute requirements.

DC reiterated the commitment of the district administration towards the smooth and safe conduct of Shri Amarnath Ji Yatra via the Baltal axis, assuring continuous augmentation of facilities for the convenience of pilgrims.
