JAMMU: A Cricket match under Anti-Drugs Premium League 2025 was organized by Hands for Humanity Trust at MA Stadium, Jammu. J&K BJP President Sat Sharma, accompanied by Vice-President & MLA Yudhvir Sethi, General Secretary & MLA Dr. Devinder Kumar Manyal, Secretary & MLA Arvind Gupta, and MLAs Ch. Vikram Randhawa, Prof. Gharu Ram Bhagat, and Surinder Bhagat inaugurated the event. BJP District Presidents Nand Kishore Sharma, Adv. Rajesh Gupta, Naresh Singh Jasrotia, Rinku Choudhary, and several senior party leaders were also present.

The event is being organized by Hands for Humanity Trust, under the leadership of Trust President Anil Bhan and senior member and BJP youth leader Dr. Makson Tikoo. A total of 138 matches are scheduled to be played across different localities of Jammu till June 19, 2025, with the aim of spreading the anti-drug message to every corner of the region.

Speaking on the occasion, Sat Sharma said that the fight against drug abuse needs to be people-driven. This Premium League is a unique platform where sports become a powerful tool for awareness and engagement, he said. He lauded the efforts of the Trust and pledged continued support to such initiatives that align with Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s vision of a drug-free India. He added that this event is a strong push towards eradicating drug abuse and promoting a healthy lifestyle among youth.

Yudhvir Sethi emphasized that the youth must channel their energy into sports and nation-building. This initiative is a strong step towards protecting our younger generation from the dangers of narcotics. Dr. Devinder Kumar Manyal stated that drug addiction is a serious social threat. He said that through such positive campaigns, we not only raise awareness but also inspire healthy habits among our youth.

Arvind Gupta undermined the importance of public participation in such events. The overwhelming support for this league reflects society’s collective resolve against drugs, he said. Ch. Vikram Randhawa urged all the stakeholders including parents, teachers, and civil society to come forward and support this movement and said that the Sports can change lives.

Prof. Gharu Ram Bhagat added that this campaign bridges the gap between awareness and action. Sports give our youth purpose and discipline, he said. Surinder Bhagat called the league a revolutionary initiative. He added that this campaign has the potential to bring lasting social change.
