BARAMULLA: Police in Baramulla have solved a theft case within 48-hours by arresting two accused individuals and recovered stolen property worth ₹5 lakhs from their possession. On 03/06/2025, Police Station Pattan received a complaint from Mohammad Amin Dar son of Mohammad Yousuf Dar resident of Sumbal, a subcontractor with Lumino Industries Ltd, regarding the theft of Dog Conductor (wire) from the Mamoosa work site during the night of 02/03 June. In this regard, a case vide FIR No. 99/2025 under relevant sections of law war registered and investigation was initiated.

During the investigation, officers, using both technical and human intelligence, identified the vehicles involved in the commission of the crime. Interrogation of the suspects led to the arrest of Shabir Ahmad Tabardar son of Ali Mohammad Tabardar resident of Singhpora and Umer Nabi Khanday son of Gh. Nabi Khanday resident of Zangam. Based on their disclosures, the stolen wire was recovered and the vehicles used in the commission of crime were also seized. Further investigation is underway.
