RAMBAN: To promote preventive healthcare and holistic wellness, the AYUSH Department today organized a comprehensive Awareness-cum-Medical Aid Camp here at the Ayush Health & Wellness Centre (AHWC), Chuchatar. The camp was held on the directions of Deputy Commissioner Baseer-Ul-Haq Chaudhary and supervised by Dr. Masood Iqbal
The camp featured free medical check-ups, distribution of AYUSH medicines for general and specific ailments, and screening for Non-Communicable Diseases (NCDs). A key highlight of the event was a special awareness session on the prevention of latent tuberculosis through Ayurvedic interventions, focusing on traditional preventive methods and lifestyle adjustments.
Participants received expert guidance on managing lifestyle-related disorders, proper dietary practices, and the integration of AYUSH therapies into everyday health routines. The event witnessed enthusiastic participation from the local community, reflecting the growing trust in traditional medicine systems for rural healthcare.
Later, the AYUSH Department, in collaboration with NGO WORKA, conducted a Dental Check-up Camp at the same venue. Dr. Farhana, Dental Surgeon, performed detailed oral examinations and delivered an informative lecture on dental hygiene. She emphasized the importance of daily oral care and encouraged the adoption of proactive dental habits to prevent common dental issues.
