RAJOURI: Deputy Commissioner Rajouri, Abhishek Sharma, today chaired a meeting here in the Conference Hall of DC Office to review the implementation of the Holistic Agriculture Development Programme (HADP). The meeting was informed that a total of 249 applications have been submitted to banks to date, out of which 25 cases have been sanctioned.
The DC directed the concerned banks to prioritize and expedite the processing of pending applications. He further instructed all departments to proactively follow up the submitted cases to ensure timely approvals. Reviewing other related schemes, the DC assessed the progress under the Agriculture Infrastructure Fund (AIF) and the Animal Husbandry Infrastructure Development Fund (AHIDF). He directed the Animal Husbandry Department to take immediate steps for the establishment of a Milk Processing Unit in the district to enhance dairy production and provide better marketing opportunities to farmers.
The status of the National Livestock Mission and the performance of the Horticulture Planning & Marketing Department were also reviewed. The DC stressed effective planning and implementation to ensure farmers benefit from these schemes. Additionally, area-wise applications received under the Kisan Khidmat Ghar (KKG) initiative were discussed. The DC urged all stakeholders to encourage participation and ensure widespread awareness about the scheme to maximize its outreach.
The Deputy Commissioner reiterated the district administration's commitment to promote agriculture and allied sectors under HADP and other flagship schemes to improve the economic prospects of farmers and entrepreneurs in the region. The meeting was attended by Chief Planning Officer Maqsood Ahmed, Chief Agriculture Officer, District Sheep Husbandry Officer (DSHO), District Animal Husbandry Officer (DAHO), Lead District Manager (LDM), and other district officers.
