RAMBAN: District Industries Centre (DIC) Ramban, on the directions of Deputy Commissioner Baseer-Ul-Haq Chaudhary, organized awareness camps at Panchayat Ghar-Tether and Kaskoot in Banihal to sensitize local youth about employment schemes being implemented by the Industries & Commerce Department.
Project Manager Kuldeep Singh sensitized participants about the Prime Ministerâs Employment Generation Programme (PMEGP). He explained the procedure for filing the application, benefits of enrollment, and financial assistance available under the scheme for both manufacturing and service sectors.
Awareness about the PM Vishwakarma Scheme was also highlighted, encouraging aspiring youth to avail these schemes to establish their ventures. Queries from participants regarding online application procedures were resolved on the spot. The camps successfully motivated educated unemployed youth to opt for self-employment, leveraging the subsidies and support provided under these initiatives.
