REASI: The District Industries Centre (DIC) Reasi successfully organized Awareness Camps on the Prime Minister’s Employment Generation Programme (PMEGP) and PM Vishwakarma Scheme at three locations—BDO Office Reasi, BDO Office Katra, and BDO Office Pouni. The camps were held under the overall supervision of General Manager DIC Reasi, Mohd Anwar Banday, and witnessed wide participation from the general public.
During the sessions, officers of DIC Reasi provided detailed insights into the objectives, benefits, and application processes of these schemes. They distributed pamphlets and other informative materials to the participants and encouraged them to take full advantage of these welfare initiatives aimed at fostering entrepreneurship and self-reliance.
The PMEGP scheme, a flagship initiative, provides financial support for starting small enterprises, while the PM Vishwakarma scheme focuses on empowering traditional artisans and craftsmen by providing them with financial and technical support.
The camps received an overwhelming response, with participants expressing gratitude for the department’s efforts in spreading awareness about these government initiatives. DIC Reasi remains committed to organizing more such events to ensure that the benefits of these welfare schemes reach every eligible individual in the district.
