GANDERBAL: As part of its commitment to ensure a safe and hassle-free Shri Amarnath Ji Yatra, Police in Ganderbal once again demonstrated promptness and dedication in assisting pilgrims.

Early this morning, 03 Shri Amarnath Ji Yatries approached Police Post Manigam and reported that after alighting from their vehicle at Transit Camp Manigam, the driver had inadvertently left the parking area with their luggage.

Acting swiftly, Police examined CCTV footage and verified the parking entry register, successfully identifying the vehicle (JK04C-6986, Tavera). Through timely coordination, the luggage was traced and handed over to the rightful owners, bringing relief to the pilgrims.

In another instance, Head Constable Farooq Ahmad, who was on duty at Transit Camp Manigam, found cash lying unattended near the parking area. Despite a public announcement to locate the owner, no claimant came forward. The cash has been safely taken into Police custody by PP Manigam and will be handed over to the rightful owner after due verification.
