- DC inspects Exam Centres, emphasises fair conduct
DODA: Deputy Commissioner (DC) Harvinder Singh today conducted inspection visits to Jawahar Navodaya Vidyalaya Selection Test (JNVST)-2025 examination centres established here at Government Boys Higher Secondary School and Government Higher Secondary School Khalleni.
The JNVST was held for admission to Class 6th for the academic session 2025-26. At the main centre in Govt. Boys HSS Doda, a total of 112 out of 134 registered students appeared for the entrance test. The examination was conducted in a fair, peaceful and well-coordinated manner under proper supervision.
During the visit, DC Doda reviewed the seating arrangements, security measures, and overall exam preparedness. He interacted with the examination staff and appreciated their efforts in ensuring transparency and discipline during the conduct of the test.
Later, the DDC visited the Govt HSS Khalleni to inspect the arrangements for the JNVST examination. He interacted with the teaching staff and students, reviewed the classroom environment and took note of the existing infrastructure in the school. He directed the concerned departments to immediately initiate repair and renovation work for the classrooms.
Further, the DDC instructed the officials to prepare a comprehensive proposal for necessary infrastructural upgrades, including improved classroom facilities, enhanced sanitation provisions, and overall campus development to ensure a better learning environment for students.
Later, the Deputy Commissioner Doda also inspected the market area at Khalleni. During the visit, local residents raised demands for the establishment of a bus stand and a passenger shed to address the needs of daily commuters.
The DC Doda assured the public that their demands would be reviewed on priority and appropriate action would be taken in consultation with the concerned departments.
