UDHAMPUR: District Development Commissioner Saloni Rai today chaired a meeting with officers of the line departments and representatives from banking institutions to review the implementation of the Holistic Agriculture Development Programme.
The review meeting primarily focused on assessing the performance matrix of departments involved in HADP, Daksh Kisan portal enrolment, sanctioning status of applications, progress on established and tracked units and enrolment of farms and farmers by Krishi Kendra Groups and Krishi Udyamis, status of credit disbursement by financial institutions to eligible beneficiaries.
Speaking at the meeting, the DDC directed the stakeholder departments to adopt a proactive and coordinated approach in sanctioning pending applications under HADP. She laid special emphasis on increasing enrolment on the Daksh Kisan Portal and ensuring timely completion of courses by the enrolled candidates. She stressed the importance of organizing awareness camps at grassroots level to motivate more farmers to register on the portal and take full advantage of the training modules.
Highlighting the role of financial support in setting up agricultural and allied units, the DC directed officers to motivate farmers to come forward and avail credit facilities being extended by the banking institutions. She also impressed upon the bank representatives to expedite the process of loan disbursement to the eligible beneficiaries.
The DDC further instructed the concerned departments to formulate a robust action plan for improving the overall progress under HADP. She emphasized the need for better inter-departmental coordination to ensure seamless implementation of the programme and achieve tangible outcomes on ground.
