RAJOURI: To foster community engagement and promote physical fitness, Range Police Headquarters Rajouri today organized an Athletic Meet here at District Police lines under the banner of Civic Action Programme.
The event was inaugurated by DIG R-P Range Hqrs. Rajouri Tejinder Singh in presence of SSP Rajouri Gaurav Sikarwar; Addl. SP Nowshera Baljit Singh; SP Operation Kandi Wajahat Hussain; SP Operation Thanamandi Chanderjeet Singh; DySP Hqrs Satish Kumar; DySP DAR DPL Akshay Khajuria and, Dy.SP SO to DIG RP Range Pawan Sharma.
In his inaugural address, the DIG R-P highlighted the value of sports in engaging the youth in constructive activities and keeping them away from drug menace. The event witnessed enthusiastic participation from VDCs and the general public of all age groups, reflecting the spirit of unity, sportsmanship, and active living. The Athletic Meet featured a variety of events designed to encourage healthy competition and strengthen the bond between Police and general public.
Speaking on the occasion, senior Police officers highlighted the significance of such community-centric initiatives in building mutual trust and co-operation. The Civic Action Programme aims to bridge the gap between the Police and the community and events like this play a vital role in fostering goodwill and understanding.
Participants expressed gratitude to the Rajouri Police for organizing the event and providing a platform to people of all age groups to come together, showcase their talent and promote healthy lifestyles. The event concluded with the distribution of cash rewards/medals to the winners, for their encouragement.
