SAMBA: NSS unit “Prabha’ of Government Degree College, Ramgarh solemnly observed the birth anniversary of Dr. B.R. Ambedkar, by organizing a pledge ceremony dedicated to upholding the values enshrined in the Constitution.
The event was held under the overall guidance of the College Principal, Prof. (Dr.) Meeru Abrol and coordination of Prof. Brham Dutt, Programme Officer of the NSS Unit of the college. The event aimed to honor Dr. Ambedkar’s legacy and reaffirm the commitment of students and staff to constitutional values such as justice, liberty, equality, and fraternity. The pledge emphasized the significance of safeguarding the democratic principles that form the foundation of the nation.
In her address, Prof. (Dr.) Meeru Abrol reflected on the enduring relevance of Dr. Ambedkar’s vision and his pivotal role in shaping a just and inclusive India. She encouraged students to not only understand their rights as citizens but also to carry forward their responsibilities in building a better society.
Faculty members present at the event included Dr. Snobar, Prof. Sandeep Kumari, Ashok Kumar, Dr. Shivali Panjgotra, Dr. Neeraj Bargotra, Dr. Susheel Kumar, Darpan Malhotra, Priya Sharma, Anjali Devi and Sayema, along with the students. Together, they took a collective pledge to uphold the dignity of the Constitution and promote unity, harmony, and respect for the democratic framework of the country.
