DODA: Motor Vehicles Department (MVD) Doda today organized an informative awareness program on road safety and safe driving at Green Model Higher Secondary School (GMHSS), here. The program held under the supervision of Assistant Regional Transport Officer, Rajesh Gupta, was aimed to educate students about the importance of adhering to traffic rules and cultivating safe driving habits from a young age.
Speaking on the occasion, ARTO underlined key factors contributing to road safety like refraining from underage driving, avoiding overspeeding and not using mobile phones while driving. He highlighted that these are some of the primary causes of road accidents and stressed the need to instil responsible behaviour among the younger generation to minimize road mishaps.
ARTO urged everyone to take every possible step to prevent accidents and ensure safer roads. He added that this initiative reflects the department's commitment to fostering a culture of road safety and responsibility across Doda.
The program also included interactive discussions, visual presentations and engaging activities to help students understand the critical role they play in promoting road safety within their communities. The MVD team encouraged students to act as road safety ambassadors, spreading awareness to peers and family members.
