UDHAMPUR: Deputy Commissioner Saloni Rai, today chaired the meeting of District Level Committee under the Narco Coordination Centre (NCORD) here in the Mini Conference Hall DC Office Complex. The meeting was attended by Senior Superintendent of Police Amod Ashok Nagpure; Additional Deputy Commissioner Prem Singh; Assistant Commissioner Revenue Dr. Umesh Shan; Assistant Commissioner Development Dr Ranjit Singh Kotwal; Sub-Divisional Magistrates, Tehsildars and other district officers from various line departments.
The DC issued directives to ensure 100% computerized billing at all pharmacies to enforce accountability and transparency. She emphasized strengthening surveillance on pharmacies suspected of selling psychotropic drugs by sending dummy patients as part of the monitoring mechanism.
To further curb drug abuse, the DC instructed officers to ensure the proper functioning of feedback systems in schools and colleges. She also advocated for the formation of a dedicated society with active participation from students to address the drug menace comprehensively. The DC directed Tehsildars to convene meetings to identify and resolve issues hindering the declaration of Panchayats as Nasha Mukt Panchayats.
