DODA: A free medical camp was organized by the Mobile Medical Unit (MMU) at Village Pranoo in Medical Block Ghat, District Doda. The camp was conducted under the leadership of Dr. Nasir Masood Indrabi on the directions of Chief Medical Officer (CMO) Dr. Om Kumar, and under the guidance of Block Medical Officers (BMOs) of Ghat and Bhaderwah. The initiative aimed to provide quality healthcare services to the rural population, particularly the vulnerable and underserved communities.
A total of 87 patients suffering from different ailments were examined during the camp by the dedicated medical team. Free medicines were distributed among the patients, ensuring they received essential treatment without any financial burden. Special attention was given to creating awareness about preventive healthcare, and the team encouraged individuals to adopt healthy lifestyles to reduce the risk of chronic diseases.
Dr. Nasir Hussain (MLHP) from AAM SC Trown and Dr. Rajeev Anand (MLHP) from AAM SC Berraru, along with the support staff of MMU Doda, played a vital role in ensuring the success of the camp. The objective of such camps is to bridge the gap between rural populations and essential medical services, reinforcing the government's commitment to providing accessible healthcare.
Such initiatives not only address the immediate healthcare needs of rural communities but also strengthen the trust of the public in public health institutions. The MMU team expressed gratitude to local stakeholders for their cooperation in making the camp a success and reiterated their commitment to conducting more such camps in the future.
