REASI: Social Welfare Department, in collaboration with State Level Coordinating Agency (SLCA), on Wednesday organised a comprehensive day long training program for Master Volunteers under the Nasha Mukt Bharat Abhiyan.
The program was presided over by District Social Welfare Officer Sachin Sharma. The initiative was executed in partnership with the National Institute of Social Defence (NISD), Ministry of Social Justice and Empowerment, Government of India as part of ongoing efforts to mitigate drug abuse across the nation. The program was initiated with the inaugural ceremony and focused on the basic introduction and knowledge of Drugs.
Topics taken in the training programme were "Role of Master volunteers and Categories of drugs which affect our central nervous system including Depression Stimulants and Hallucinogens, basic concept of Cognitive Behavioral Therapy."
Addressing the participants, the District Social Welfare Officer provided insights into the multiple initiatives launched by District Administration Reasi aimed at combating drug related issues. Officials of SLCA including Pallavi Singh- the resource person and those from District Administration were also present at the event. The day-long training program concluded with the certificate distribution to all the Master Volunteers.
