RAJOURI: A mock exercise simulating an earthquake and landslide scenario was conducted today in the conference hall of District Development Commissioner (DDC) Office Complex, Rajouri. The event, organized by Deputy Commandant of 13 Battalion, National Disaster Response Force (NDRF), was presided over by Additional Deputy Commissioner Rajouri, Rajeev Kumar Khajuria.
Assistant Commandant of 13 Battalion NDRF, Praveen Singh on the occasion, delivered a comprehensive presentation on disaster management measures. He emphasized on the importance of preparedness and response strategies for both natural and man-made disasters. Addressing the gathering, the ADC urged all departments to ensure fool proof arrangements for disaster management and implement effective measures to mitigate the impact of such calamities. He highlighted the importance of inter-departmental coordination in responding to emergencies.
Participants also shared their insights and suggestions on improving disaster preparedness and resilience in the district. The exercise witnessed the participation of Chief Medical Officer (CMO) Dr. Manohar Rana; Executive Engineer PWD (R&B) Rajouri, Sardar Khan; Executive Engineer PDD Rajouri, Mohd Rashid; Chief Animal Husbandry Officer (CAHO), Dr. Khalid Hussain and President Rotary Club Rajouri, K.K Langhar.
