SRINAGAR:  Police in Handwara conducted awareness programmes on three new criminal laws at BHSS Langate and Prime Institute of Education Kulangam. The initiative aimed to educate the general public, particularly students, about recent amendments and additions to criminal laws, ensuring awareness and compliance with the updated legal framework.

During the sessions, police officers explained the nuances of the new laws, clarifying their implications and stressing the importance of adherence to legal statutes for maintaining societal order.

The programmes saw active participation from students, who engaged in  discussions, asked questions, and sought clarifications on the legal provisions presented. This effort reflects the police's commitment to fostering an informed and law-abiding community.
