SAMBA: A one month Livelihood Training Programme in cutting and tailoring commenced today here at Panchayat Goran. The training has been organised by SANKALP: HEW, Mission Shakti, in collaboration with REACHA Organisation. More than 40 local women were enrolled for livelihood training. The main aim of the programme is to impart skilling to Rural Women to make them eligible for self employment schemes.
The SANKALP: HEW team encouraged the beneficiaries and motivated them to open their own setup through which they can generate their own livelihood. The team imparted awareness to women and girls about the theme of "Beti Bachao Beti Padhao", explaining the Women Centric schemes. The team also sensitized the candidates about different financial schemes which are beneficial for them to open their self employment ventures and assured the participants that the department shall guide them to open their start-ups by providing backward-forward linkages with various financial institutions. Ritika Banotra, Gender Specialist and Anuradha, Specialist in financial literacy from (SANKALP: HEW) besides members of REACHA ORGANISATION were present at the programme..
