RAJOURI: On the directions of Deputy Commissioner Rajouri, Abhishek Sharma, an awareness camp to promote the PM Surya Ghar Muft Bijli Yojana was today organized at PWD Dak Bungalow, Sunderbani, with the participation of various departments.
The camp, held under the supervision of Additional District Development Commissioner (ADDC), Dr. Raj Kumar Thapa witnessed the presence of ADC Sunderbani, Rajeev Magotra; ACD Vijay Kumar Verma, along with other district and sectoral officers.
The awareness camp aimed to educate the public about the benefits and implementation of the PM Surya Ghar Muft Bijli Yojana, which promotes the installation of rooftop solar panels to provide free electricity to households.
The officials elaborated on the eligibility criteria, financial assistance, and procedural guidelines for availing the scheme. Beneficiaries were encouraged to take advantage of this initiative to reduce their electricity expenses and contribute to sustainable energy practices.
The ADDC emphasized that the successful implementation of this scheme on the ground will be a revolutionary step towards achieving energy self-sufficiency and promoting renewable energy. He urged all stakeholders to actively participate in ensuring the scheme reaches its intended beneficiaries.
