• With the resolve of a developed India, VB G RAM G - Act 2025 will realise Gandhiji's dream of Gram Swaraj: Pawan Sharma

DODA: The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) Doda today organized an extensive district-level workshop on the VB G RAM G Act, aimed at creating awareness among party functionaries about the vision, objectives, and transformative impact of the Act on rural India. The workshop witnessed active participation from district office bearers, mandal presidents, morcha leaders, elected representatives, and grassroots workers.

Addressing the workshop as the main speaker, Pawan Sharma, BJP State Secretary, Jammu & Kashmir, said that the VB G RAM G Act is a historic and visionary step towards building a “Viksit Bharat” by empowering villages and strengthening grassroots democracy. He emphasized that the Act reflects the Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s commitment to inclusive, transparent, and corruption-free governance.

“With the resolve of a developed India, VB G RAM G will realise Mahatma Gandhiji’s dream of Gram Swaraj by making villages economically self-reliant, socially empowered, and administratively strong,” said Pawan Sharma.

He said that unlike earlier rural schemes which were plagued by corruption, leakages, and political favoritism, VB G RAM G ensures direct benefits to the people, transparency in implementation, and accountability at every level. The Act focuses on productive asset creation, skill development, local employment generation, and community participation, thereby transforming rural citizens from beneficiaries into partners in development.

Pawan Sharma strongly criticized the Congress party for spreading misinformation and fear among rural communities, stating that Congress is uncomfortable with genuine empowerment of villages because it threatens their decades-old politics of dependency and middlemen.

“Congress fears VB G RAM G because it ends their model of vote-bank politics, corruption, and hollow slogans. This Act gives power back to the people at the grassroots, something Congress never wanted,” he asserted.

He further highlighted that in Jammu & Kashmir, where rural development was long neglected due to policy paralysis and dynastic politics, VB G RAM G will usher in a new era of balanced and sustainable development, ensuring that remote and hilly areas like Doda receive focused attention and opportunities.

During the workshop, detailed presentations were made on the key provisions of the Act, implementation mechanisms, and the role of BJP workers in taking the message to every panchayat and household. Party leaders resolved to conduct village-level outreach programs, public interactions, and awareness campaigns to counter misinformation and ensure effective implementation of the Act on the ground.

The workshop concluded with a collective pledge by BJP workers to educate the public about VB G RAM G, expose Congress’s lies, and work tirelessly to fulfill the vision of Gandhiji’s Gram Swaraj and Prime Minister Modi’s Viksit Bharat.

Prominent among those who spoke on the occasion include Babu Ram Sharma, BJP district President, Dhananter Singh  Kotwal, DDC chairman Doda, Rakesh Sharma general secretary, Ashok Bhagat, district general secretary and convenor of the program, Bhag Singh Kotwal and Hakam Singh Rukwal co - convenor of the program.
