JAMMU: Senior BJP leader and MLA from Bahu Assembly Constituency, Ch. Vikram Randhawa, today held a public grievances camp at the BJP Headquarters, Trikuta Nagar, Jammu. The camp witnessed enthusiastic participation from several deputations and individuals, who shared their local concerns and sought intervention for timely redressal.

A number of deputations met the MLA to present issues of public importance. Residents of Nanak Nagar Sector-6 and Bari Brahmana raised concerns regarding Admission-cum-Migration (BOPEE) of their wards. A Gangyal Garden deputation demanded the construction of a deep drain, while residents from Dagiana highlighted a land dispute issue. People from Sector-2 Channi Himmat apprised Randhawa about malfunctioning street lights that remain on during the day due to short-circuiting.

Deputations from Gangyal and Sanjay Nagar sought urgent repair of lanes and drains, while residents from Camp Gole Gujral requested completion of unfinished lane and drain work by PWD (R&B). A group of Lecturers also raised the long-pending issue of regularization of 10+2 Lecturers since 2013.

Ch. Vikram Randhawa gave a patient hearing to all the deputations and assured speedy and effective resolution of their concerns. Many issues were immediately taken up with the concerned departments, and in several cases, written directions were issued on the spot to ensure prompt action.

Speaking on the occasion, Randhawa reaffirmed his commitment to the BJP’s ideology of “Nation First, Party Next, Self Last”, emphasizing that public service is not just a duty but a moral responsibility. The BJP, under the dynamic leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, is deeply committed to resolving people’s issues at the grassroots level. Our focus remains on transparent governance, accountability, and last-mile delivery of benefits, Randhawa stated.

The camp was coordinated by Er. T.K. Sharma, Co-Convenor of Swachh Bharat Abhiyan, J&K BJP, who ensured smooth coordination between the public and the party leadership for effective grievance redressal.
