KOZHIKODE: The role of product professionals is undergoing a fundamental shift. AI is transforming how products are discovered, designed, built, and improved. Product professionals are increasingly expected to move beyond managing roadmaps and features to designing intelligent experiences, automating workflows, and building AI-powered products. To stay relevant, professionals must develop the capabilities to identify AI opportunities, drive product innovation, rapidly prototype solutions, and build intelligent products across the lifecycle.

The shift is happening at unprecedented speed. According to the McKinsey State of AI Report 2025, 88% of organisations now use AI in at least one business function, up from 55% just a year earlier. Product teams are evolving just as rapidly. 51% of AI product teams are now building agentic AI products, more than doubling from 21% in 2024 (Forrester 2026; Figma AI Report 2025). AI-powered products are no longer an emerging trend; they are quickly becoming the new competitive baseline

Responding to this emerging need, IIM Kozhikode has announced the Executive Programme in Product Innovation with AI & Agentic AI: A 20-week executive programme designed to help professionals transition from AI users to AI-first product innovators. Rather than treating AI as another feature within the product lifecycle, the programme positions AI as the foundation for product strategy, design and development.

The curriculum brings together Product Design, Generative AI and Agentic AI into a single learning journey that spans the complete product lifecycle—from opportunity discovery and customer insights to rapid prototyping, deployment, optimisation and scale. Participants explore how AI is reshaping product strategy, business models, user experience, data strategy, agile development and autonomous workflows while developing the skills required to build products for an AI-first world.

A defining advantage of the programme is its AI-first, builder-centric approach. Rather than stopping at product frameworks and roadmaps, you'll learn to design, prototype, build, test, and deploy AI-powered products through hands-on application.

  • Build, don't just plan, with five applied mini projects and a comprehensive AI product capstone that takes you from opportunity discovery and customer validation to prototyping, experimentation, agentic workflow design, and deployment-ready product thinking.
  • Create a portfolio of AI-powered product projects that showcases your ability to identify AI opportunities, build intelligent workflows, validate product ideas, and develop AI-native solutions—giving you tangible proof of your capabilities.
  • Gain hands-on experience across the complete AI product lifecycle, from problem discovery and Voice of Customer (VoC) analysis to AI prototyping, experimentation, performance measurement, and autonomous workflow orchestration.
  • Master 20 industry-relevant AI, no-code, and product tools including ChatGPT, Claude, Figma, Uizard, n8n, Mixpanel, Amplitude, Miro, Notion, Jira, and Google Looker Studio to rapidly build, automate, analyse, and iterate AI-powered products.
  • Move beyond AI-assisted productivity to AI-native product building by designing intelligent systems, human-AI experiences, and agentic workflows that can reason, automate tasks, and continuously improve.
  • Learn directly from industry experts through four live masterclasses covering AI-native product innovation, human-AI interaction design, agentic systems, and the future of AI-powered product development.

The programme is delivered through faculty-led learning from IIM Kozhikode, ranked #3 among India's management institutions in the NIRF Rankings 2025, alongside insights from industry practitioners shaping the future of AI-powered products. Participants who successfully complete the programme receive an IIM Kozhikode certificate, with an optional one-day campus immersion (at added cost) offering opportunities for deeper academic engagement and peer learning.

As AI moves from experimentation to enterprise-wide product strategy, the future will belong to professionals who can build with AI; not just work alongside it. Product managers, founders, innovation leaders, UX professionals and digital transformation practitioners must now develop the ability to design products that are intelligent by default, adaptive by design and capable of creating sustainable competitive advantage.

With the launch of the Executive Programme in Product Innovation with AI & Agentic AI, IIM Kozhikode aims to equip professionals with the mindset, frameworks and practical capabilities to lead this next era of product innovation. Applications are now open for you to secure your spot. Visit <link> to explore the programme and make your most important career move
