JAMMU: Intex Technologies, one of India's leading homegrown consumer electronics brands, has announced the expansion of its Home Appliances portfolio as part of its broader strategy to strengthen its presence in India's fast-growing consumer durables market.

Building on its established presence in air coolers, Intex is broadening its Home Appliances portfolio with a comprehensive range of fans, including decorative, energy-efficient BLDC, exhaust and TPW (Table, Pedestal and Wall) models. The company is also entering the water heater category with storage and instant geysers in varying capacities to cater to diverse household requirements.

Further strengthening its presence in the kitchen and everyday appliances segment, Intex is expanding its small domestic appliances portfolio with products such as irons, mixer grinders, juicer mixer grinders, air fryers, electric kettles and cooktops. Across categories, the products have been developed with a focus on three defining aspects of design, functionality and reliability.

The expansion reflects Intex's strategy of building a well-rounded Home Appliances business that addresses both seasonal and everyday household needs. By expanding across complementary product categories, the company aims to offer consumers a wider range of reliable and value-driven solutions under one trusted brand.

The move builds on the strong momentum in Intex's Consumer Durables business, which recorded 80% year-on-year growth in FY26, driven by robust demand across Smart TVs, Air Conditioners and Washing Machines.

Keshav Bansal, Director, Intex Technologies, said, “The strong momentum in our Consumer Durables business reflects the growing trust consumers have placed in the Intex brand. As consumer aspirations evolve, we see a clear opportunity to build a more comprehensive home appliances portfolio that delivers quality, reliability and value at accessible price points. Our expansion into fans, water heaters and small domestic appliances is a natural progression of this strategy and will enable us to serve a wider range of household needs. We believe this business will emerge as an important growth driver for Intex in the years ahead, further strengthening our position in India's growing consumer durables market.

India's home appliances market continues to witness sustained growth, fuelled by rising household incomes, increasing appliance penetration beyond metro cities and growing consumer preference for trusted brands offering quality products across multiple categories.

As demand accelerates across Tier II and Tier III markets, Intex sees a significant opportunity to expand its presence by leveraging its nationwide distribution network, strong retail partnerships and after-sales service capabilities.
