MUMBAI: Jaro Education has opened FY27 with a strong operating performance, as rising demand for higher education and professional upskilling translated into double-digit revenue growth and a sharper improvement in profitability. The quarter also saw the Company deepen its institutional network, expand into emerging technology-led learning areas and accelerate its corporate learning business.

The Company reported Total Income of ₹7,262.99 lakh for Q1 FY27, up 19.43% year-on-year, compared with ₹6,081.59 lakh in Q1 FY26. Revenue from operations stood at ₹7,075.05 lakh, compared with ₹6,067.46 lakh a year earlier.

Profitability grew at a faster pace. EBITDA increased 20.89% YoY to ₹1,704.20 lakh, while Profit After Tax rose 48.27% to ₹1,116.89 lakh, from ₹753.30 lakh in Q1 FY26. PAT margin consequently expanded to 15.38% from 12.39%, pointing to improving operating leverage as the business scales.

Growth increasingly reflects the strength of the platform

The quarter's performance was underpinned by continued learner traction. Jaro recorded gross bookings of ₹19,030 lakh and 8,169 admissions during the quarter, comprising 6,979 degree admissions and 1,190 certification admissions.

The quality of growth was also reflected in monetisation. Average Revenue Per User increased by 4.5% to ₹86,609, indicating continued traction for higher-value learning offerings.

The numbers come at a time when the nature of professional learning is undergoing a fundamental change. A degree at the beginning of a career is increasingly being complemented by continuous learning as technology, artificial intelligence and changing business models reshape the skills required across industries.

This structural shift is creating a larger role for platforms that can connect learners with credible institutions while translating emerging industry requirements into relevant learning opportunities.

From education access to career transformation

Jaro's strategy has increasingly centred on building this bridge between academic credibility and career relevance.

During Q1, the Company launched six new programmes with premier IITs, expanding its portfolio into areas including Artificial Intelligence, autonomous robotics, sustainability, blockchain, advanced programming and technology leadership.

The new programmes span IIT Bombay, IIT Delhi, IIT Madras and IIT Roorkee strengthening Jaro's presence in some of the fastest-evolving areas of the skills economy.

The expansion is significant beyond the addition of individual programmes. It reflects Jaro's approach of continuously refreshing its portfolio around emerging skill gaps and changing learner aspirations an increasingly important differentiator in a market where the half-life of skills is shortening.

Corporate learning emerges as another growth engine

The Company also continued to build its presence in the B2B learning market, adding new corporate engagements during the quarter across banking, financial services, technology, aerospace, engineering, consulting and other sectors.

Several of these engagements are structured as multi-year partnerships, while additional relationships have progressed into live learner sourcing. This provides Jaro with a broader corporate distribution channel and positions the B2B vertical as an increasingly important avenue for learner acquisition and revenue diversification.

The development also reflects a wider change in corporate India. As organisations increasingly view upskilling as part of workforce strategy rather than a periodic training exercise, demand is shifting towards learning solutions that combine institutional credibility, professional relevance and measurable outcomes.

The next phase is about compounding the ecosystem

For Jaro, the start to FY27 comes after a defining year in which the Company transitioned into the public markets and strengthened the foundations of its next phase of growth. As a next phase, the focus now is less on the milestone itself and more on what can be built from it.

Jaro is expanding simultaneously across learners, institutions, programmes and enterprises. Each strengthens the other: a wider institutional network enables a broader programme portfolio; relevant programmes attract learners; a growing learner ecosystem strengthens the Company's appeal to institutions and corporates; and deeper corporate relationships open another avenue for learning demand.

This creates the potential for a more integrated and scalable learning ecosystem rather than a business dependent on any single programme, institution or acquisition channel.

Building for the future of learning

As FY27 progresses, Jaro's priorities remain centred on deepening institutional partnerships, expanding future-ready programmes, scaling corporate learning, strengthening learner engagement and using technology and AI to improve both learning outcomes and operating efficiency.

The Company enters the year against a backdrop of accelerating digital adoption and a workforce that increasingly needs to learn, unlearn and relearn throughout its career.

For Jaro, that shift represents more than a market opportunity. It reinforces the purpose around which the Company has built its platform to make credible, institution-led education more accessible and relevant across career stages.

Q1 FY27 therefore marks not simply a strong start to the year, but another step in Jaro's transition from an education platform into a broader lifelong learning ecosystem one built around institutional trust, learner outcomes and long-term value creation.
