KATRA: Students of School of Mathematics participated in one day students conference and Alka Memorial Mathematical Competition organized by Department of Mathematics, University of Jammu in Association with Jammu Mathematical Society. Ms. Ariba Rauf (B. Sc. Mathematics, 5th Semester) received the first prize in the student conference and Mr. Romel Dutta (M. Sc. Mathematics, 2nd Year) received the 2nd prize in the Alka Memorial Mathematical Competition.

The awards were given by Padmashri Prof. Dinesh Singh, Vice Chairman Higher Education Council, J&K UT during the inaugural function of National Seminar on Recent Trends in Analysis and Allied Areas- 2024 organized by the Department of Mathematics, University of Jammu on 12th September, 2024. Dr. Kuldip Raj, HOD Mathematics, SMVDU was also present during the award ceremony.  Prof. (Dr.) Pragati Kumar, Vice Chancellor, SMVDU and faculty members of the School of Mathematics congratulated the students on their achievements and motivated them to bring more laurels to the University.
