• Praises LG Sinha’s 100-day drive, urges community vigilance against “Chitta” menace

ARNIA: Raising a strong voice against the growing drug menace, Shiv Sena Hindustan, Jammu & Kashmir organised an anti-drug awareness meeting in Arnia under the chairmanship of J&K State President Pandit Rajesh Kesri. The meeting saw participation from party office bearers and a large number of villagers from Arnia and adjoining areas.

Addressing the gathering, Pandit Rajesh Kesri patiently heard the concerns and suggestions of villagers and office bearers. He warned that the systematic targeting of the youth through drugs is extremely dangerous for both families and the nation. “The way our younger generation is being ruined by narcotics is a grave threat to the future of our country and to countless households,” he said.

Kesri highly praised Lieutenant Governor Shri Manoj Sinha’s 100-day anti-drug campaign, calling it a commendable initiative. He lauded the administration for mobilising police officers and all police units across Jammu & Kashmir to crack down on the narcotics trade. Highlighting recent successes, he said the arrest of Love Gujjar, a notorious narcotics smuggler, has enabled police to dismantle drug dens across several districts of the Union Territory.

“The way smugglers are being arrested and their illegal properties seized is highly appreciable,” Kesri remarked. He especially acknowledged the efforts of people and police along the border belts — including Arnia, R.S. Pura, Bishnah, Samba, Kathua, Udhampur, Rajouri, and Poonch — and noted that there is now a renewed zeal within the police force right up to Srinagar. “The public is also stepping forward to assist the police and the government, and that is truly commendable,” he added.

Shiv Sena Hindustan appealed to all sections of society — social workers, political parties, and especially parents — to remain vigilant and proactive. “Parents must check their children’s pockets and must not hide their children’s weaknesses. Instead, bring it out in the open and inform the police so that young lives can be saved in time,” Kesri urged.

He warned that ‘Chitta’ — a deadly narcotic substance — is systematically destroying the youth, particularly in border areas. “This is a conspiracy from across the border to wipe out the entire younger generation of Jammu & Kashmir and then attempt to seize control of the region. But Hindustan will never allow their nefarious designs to succeed. Our Army and Police will thwart their evil intentions,” he asserted.

Among those present on the occasion were State Deputy Chief Balbir Kumar, Vice Chairman Raj Kumar, Border President G. Sharma, Arnia President Balwant Saini, Shera Chak President Suresh Kumar, Retna President Barham Singh, along with Darshan Devi, Mani Devi, Neeru Devi, and hundreds of local residents.
