JAMMU: Eutierria, The Botanical Society of the Department of Botany, Central University of Jammu (CUJ), organized Day One of Anthesis 2.0 on 7th November 2024, under the guidance of Hon'ble Vice Chancellor, Prof. Sanjeev Jain. The first day of the event featured exciting competitions, including Painting, Best out of Plant Waste, and a Quiz.
The theme of the Painting competition was "Vibrant Vistas" and "Infusing Life into Nature's Canvas." The event was judged by Dr. Yogesh Kumar, Head of the Department of Botany, and Dr.Shvetambri Jasrotia, Assistant Professor, Department of Zoology, CUJ. The second event, "Best out of Plant Waste," focused on the theme "Emphasizing the Importance of Recycling and Reusing Plant Waste." Judges for this competition were Dr. Ashok Kumar, Assistant Professor, Department of Botany, and Dr. Neena Gupta Vij, Assistant Professor, Department of English, CUJ. The third event was a Quiz competition, with 12 teams participating.
More than 50 students from various departments participated with great enthusiasm, showcasing their creativity and competitive spirit. The first day of Anthesis 2.0 has been a great success. The event has been coordinated by Dr. Sapna Devi and Dr. Samantha Vaishnavi, faculty members from the Department of Botany, and will conclude tomorrow with more exciting activities planned.
