JAMMU: The Department of Youth Services and Sports J&K is organising 4 Nationals in the sports disciplines of Judo, Football, Fencing and Wushu at Jammu from 7th November. The Director General Department of YS&S J&K chaired a comprehensive review meeting regarding the preparations for the National School Games (NSG) on Tuesday at MAM Stadium here.
Addressing the members of various committees constituted for the successful organization of the sports extravaganza, the Director General emphasized the importance of completing all preparations well in advance, ensuring a smooth and successful event. The meeting highlighted the roles and responsibilities of committee members and conveners, urging them to adhere strictly to their prescribed duties. It was stressed that any issues arising during the event must be addressed promptly and effectively to uphold the highest standards of organization and fairness.
A key point of the Director General's address was the importance of fair play and unbiased decision-making in all competitions. Maintaining clear and continuous communication with participating teams throughout their journeys. The Director General also directed the establishment of efficient transportation management, with provisions for regular visits to all competition venues and lodging centers. This will ensure verification of all arrangements, including boarding and accommodation facilities for participants, aligning with the goal of setting a benchmark for the Department of Youth Services and Sports.
Inspiring a sense of leadership among the team, the Director General underscored the importance of team members actively coordinating throughout the event. Any emerging issues should be promptly reported to the chair for timely solutions, ensuring successful conduct of NSG. Director General expressed confidence that with the dedicated efforts of all involved, the 68th National School Games will be a memorable and exemplary event for the department.
Additionally, the Joint Director Jammu Department of Youth Services and Sports pledged continuous oversight throughout the tournament, reinforcing the Department's commitment to excellence. Deputy Director Central Jatinder Mishra and Accounts Officer Sunil Sharma was also present in the meeting.
