SRINAGAR: DPAP Senior Leader Peer Bilal has expressed strong disappointment over the Union Budget 2025, alleging that Jammu and Kashmir has been neglected. According to Bilal, the budget fails to address critical sectors such as horticulture, agriculture, tourism, transport, and artisans, which are vital for J&K's economy.
Bilal emphasized that the people of Jammu and Kashmir had high expectations from the budget, particularly regarding job creation and employment opportunities. However, the budget has not provided any relief or roadmap for dealing with rising prices and unemployment.
The DPAP leader also criticized the budget for not providing any benefits to the poor, unemployed youth, farmers, transporters, and small traders, who are severely affected by the economic policies of the BJP government.
