Rashtriya Ekta Diwas celebrations - District Admin, Mera Yuva Bharat organise district level Ekta Padyatra at Ramban

RAMBAN: The District Administration Ramban in collaboration with Mera Yuva Bharat (MY Bharat), Ministry of Youth Affairs & Sports, Government of India, today organized a District Level Padyatra to mark the 150th Birth Anniversary of Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel and the ongoing Rashtriya Ekta Diwas celebrations. The event was organized to spread the message of unity, national integrity and collective responsibility—a vision championed by the Iron Man of India, Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel.

Deputy Commissioner Mohammad Alyas Khan flagged off the Unity Rally “Ekta Padyatra” from Maitra Chowk to the DC Office. A large number of youth, students, volunteers, officers, officials and citizens enthusiastically participated in the rally, holding banners and raising slogans that echoed the spirit of oneness and solidarity. DDC Member Renuka Katoch; ACR Shokat Hayat Mattoo; Deputy Director My Bharat Khushal Gupta; CEO MS Khan; Tehsildar Deep Kumar; Dy. SP Hq. Waqar Butt, BDO and other officers and prominent citizens joined the Yatra.  

Speaking on the occasion, the Deputy Commissioner appreciated the active involvement of youth and highlighted the importance of Rashtriya Ekta Diwas in strengthening the nation’s social fabric. He emphasized that events like the Padyatra play a vital role in reminding citizens—especially the younger generation—of the values of unity, harmony and national pride. The DC also appreciated the efforts of MY Bharat and all participating departments for their contribution.

After the rally, a colourful cultural programme was organized at the District Administrative Complex (DAC), featuring patriotic songs, folk performances, cultural displays presented by Youth, students and local folk artists.

The presentation celebrated India’s diversity and reinforced the message of unity. Later, the participants took ‘Atam Nirbhar Bharat’ and ‘Nasha Mukt Bharat’ pledges, reaffirming their commitment to work for nation building and promoting a drug free society. Later, the Deputy Commissioner felicitated the participants and departments for their contribution in making the celebrations a grand success.
