SHOPIAN: Sankalp Hub for Empowerment of Women (SHEW), Mission Shakti Shopian, organized an awareness programme at Doompora Shopian today to sensitize women about various government welfare schemes and the Beti Bachao Beti Padhao (BBBP) campaign.
During the programme, detailed information was provided on several women-centric initiatives including Sukanya Samriddhi Yojana, pension schemes State Marriage Assistance Scheme, Women in Distress Scheme, Sponsorship Scheme, Labour Card Registration, Artisanship Registration, Credit Card Scheme and Self Help Group (SHG) Scheme.
The event aimed to empower women by disseminating knowledge about financial assistance, social security and self-employment opportunities available under Mission Shakti. Local women actively participated and expressed keen interest in availing the benefits of these welfare programmes.
