RAMBAN: The J&K Khadi & Village Industries Board (KVIB), Ramban organized an Awareness Camp at Halla to educate rural youth and local residents about the self-employment opportunities and government-sponsored schemes.

Branch Head, J&K Bank Halla, Kuljeet Singh was the Chief Guest. The program was also attended by District Officer KVIB Farooq Ahmed Baba, Field Officer KVIB, Sudhir Singh and faculty, SBI RSETI Rakesh Kumar. The event witnessed active participation from ex-PRIs and local people.

The Chief Guest interacted with the participants, addressed their queries and highlighted the banking sector and social security schemes for aspiring entrepreneurs. He motivated the youth to avail the benefit of available self-employment schemes for establishing income-generating units.

The District Officer gave a detailed presentation on the Prime Minister’s Employment Generation Program (PMEGP) and Jammu and Kashmir Rural Employment Generation Program (JKREGP), including the latest guidelines and eligibility criteria. He encouraged the unemployed youth to take advantage of these initiatives to start their ventures.

The Faculty SBI RSETI informed the participants about the free skill development and entrepreneurship training programs offered by RSETI to strengthen their capacity before starting units. The participants expressed gratitude to KVIB Ramban for conducting a meaningful and informative awareness program.
