KUPWARA: The ASMITA Pencak Silat League 2025 concluded today with a thrilling and emotion-filled closing ceremony, bringing to an end one of Kupwara’s most impactful and empowering sports events for girls. The Indoor Sports Hall Handwara buzzed with applause, energy, and celebration as hundreds gathered to witness the remarkable achievements of the young athletes.
The grand ceremony was presided over by Chief Guest, Gr. Ganaie, whose powerful and motivating address left the audience inspired. He hailed the participants for their courage, discipline, and sporting excellence, emphasizing that platforms like ASMITA are shaping a confident and capable generation of girls in District Kupwara.
Adding to the glory of the occasion, Guest of Honour, Mr. Zahoor Ahmad, Manager Indoor Stadium Handwara, praised the league’s smooth conduct and the incredible talent showcased throughout the event. He applauded the dedication of the coaches and organizers who worked tirelessly to create this landmark opportunity for young female athletes.
This year’s league witnessed around 200 girls competing passionately across multiple categories, displaying skill, resilience, and true sportsmanship. From Singa to Macan, Pre-Teen to Senior, the mats of Handwara saw unforgettable performances that left spectators cheering at every turn.
