SRINAGAR: In accordance with the calendar of activities issued by J&K Legal Services Authority for the month of November 2025, District Legal Services Authority (DLSA) Srinagar, organized a Special Lok Adalat on “Criminal Compoundable Cases” at the District Court Complex, Mominabad, Srinagar.
The Lok Adalat, aimed at amicably resolving Criminal Compoundable Cases, was held Under the directions of Justice Sanjeev Kumar, Judge High Court of J&K and Ladakh, Executive Chairman J&K Legal Services Authority and under the guidance of Shazia Tabassum, Member Secretary, J&K Legal Services Authority and under the supervision of Haq Nawaz Zargar, Chairman District Legal Services Authority (Pr. Distt. and Sessions Judge) Srinagar.
To ensure smooth and effective settlement, two benches were constituted for the proceedings. The first bench was presided over by Fida Hussain Nayek, Municipal Magistrate Srinagar and Junaid Imtiyaz Mir, Sub Judge/ Judge Small Causes Srinagar, while the second bench was presided over by Vikas Bhardwaj, 2nd Additional Munsiff Srinagar and Zirgham Hamid, 1st Additional Munsiff Srinagar.
The Special Lok Adalat underscores the commitment of DLSA Srinagar and the J&K Legal Services Authority towards strengthening alternative dispute resolution mechanisms and promoting timely, accessible, and amicable justice for the public.
