KATRA: NCC cadets from Shri Mata Vaishno Devi University (SMVDU) represented the Jammu, Kashmir & Ladakh (JK&L) Directorate at the Special National Integration Camp (SNIC) held in Meghalaya. The camp served as a vibrant platform for cadets from across the country to interact, exchange cultural values, and strengthen the spirit of unity and discipline among the youth of India. 

During the camp, SMVDU cadets actively participated in a variety of competitions and activities, including group dance, cultural performances, debates, drill, singing, and sports events. Their enthusiasm, discipline, and team-work reflected the values of the National Cadet Corps and brought recognition to both the University and the JK&L Directorate.

The Jammu, Kashmir & Ladakh NCC Directorate achieved remarkable success at the camp, winning two gold medals in different categories.Dr. Varun Dutta, NCC Officer, SMVDU, appreciated the sincere efforts and dedication of the cadets, stating that their participation in such national-level events demonstrates the true essence of NCC training. He commended the cadets for balancing their academic responsibilities with extra-curricular pursuits, which significantly contribute to their overall personality development, confidence, and leadership qualities.

On this proud occasion, Prof. (Dr.) Pragati Kumar, Hon’ble Vice Chancellor, and Sh. Ajay Kumar Sharma, Registrar, SMVDU, extended their heartfelt congratulations to the cadets for their exemplary participation and achievements. They lauded the NCC unit of SMVDU for providing students with a platform that encourages patriotism, discipline, and holistic growth.
