KUPWARA: Following the directions of Secretary District Legal Services Authority Kupwara Muneer Ahmad Khan and under the Chairmanship of Manzoor Hussain-Chairman Tehsil Legal Services Committee (TLSC) Handwara, an awareness programme on “Sexual Harassment of Women at Workplace” at ICDS Office Handwara today.
The event aimed to sensitize participants about the rights of women, the legal framework for addressing workplace harassment, and the mechanisms available for redressal. The programme was attended by PLVs and officials from the ICDS Department.
Resorce Person, Adv Nadeem Khaliq delivered a detailed lecture during which he emphasized the importance of creating safe and inclusive work environments for women and outlined the provisions of the Sexual Harassment of Women at Workplace (Prevention, Prohibition, and Redressal) Act, 2013. The event also included an interactive session where participants raised queries and shared their concerns regarding workplace safety and the challenges women face.
