BUDGAM: As part of the ongoing Dharti Aaba Janbhagidari Abhiyan, a mass awareness programme was today conducted at panchayat Mujhpathri, a tribal area in block Khansahib of district Budgam. The Abhiyan, which has been underway since June 15, aims to achieve 100 percent saturation of government welfare schemes across 25 key interventions spanning 17 line departments in tribal villages.

All concerned departments actively participated in the Gram Sabha held today and provided awareness on scheme eligibility and processes, especially in areas where saturation gaps were identified. The programme witnessed enthusiastic participation from the local tribal community, who welcomed the initiative and engaged in meaningful interaction with departmental representatives.

Tribal community acknowledged the importance of holding such outreach events and raised various issues, many of which were addressed on the spot. Students of Government Model Middle School Mujhpathri added cultural vibrancy to the programme by performing Gojri folk music and other cultural presentations, emphasizing the need to preserve tribal culture and heritage.

On-spot registration for various government schemes was carried out, including PMAY-G, Kisan Credit Cards, Swadesh Darshan Guest Houses, HADP Scheme, JJM FHTCs, and PMJAY health cards.

Officers from various departments, including the Block Development Officer Khansahib, Zonal Education Officer Khansahib, and Block Medical Officer Khansahib were present and spoke on the importance of community participation in government schemes for inclusive development. Dharti Aaba Abhiyan continues to strengthen the government’s commitment to last-mile delivery and empowerment of tribal populations across Budgam.
