JK MONITOR - Police arrests 02 gamblers in Kulgam; Stake money seized

SRINAGAR: Police in Kulgam have arrested 02 gamblers and seized stake money from their possession. Acting on reliable information regarding the gambling activities at Sursuna near Railway Station Harnag, a Police party headed by SHO PS Qaimoh raided the said location and arrested 02 gamblers. They have been identified as Arif Ahmad Dar son of Abdul Rehman Dar and Asif Ahmad Dar son of Nazir Ahmad Dar, both residents of Shoul Batengo.

Stake money of Rs-69,000/- & playing cards have been recovered from their possession. Accordingly, a case under relevant sections of law has been registered at Police Station Qaimoh and investigation has been initiated. Persons found indulging in criminal activities shall be dealt with as per law. Community members are requested to share information regarding the crimes in their neighbourhood with the local Police units.
