The Survival Fight of JK Monitor : For 16 years, JK Monitor has chronicled Jammu and Kashmir with integrity. Since 2010, I have steered its newsroom alongside our visionary Founding Chairman, Dr. Priya Ranjan (IIT Kharagpur alumnus, University of Maryland Ph.D.), who treated me like a brother and mentor. His tragic demise in October 2026 left a severe financial and operational vacuum. Without urgent support, our 24/7 news portal risks permanently shutting down after November 2026, remaining only as a static digital archive. We appeal to well-wishers to extend a helping hand to keep our active newsroom alive. Support Us: WhatsApp: +91-9906103001 | Email: journalistajmerwani@gmail.com

SAMBA: To ensure uninterrupted supply of LPG and curb any malpractices, Deputy Commissioner Samba, Ayushi Sudan has directed the enforcement departments to carry out intensive and regular inspection of LPG Outlets and distribution points across the district.

The inspection drives are being conducted under the overall supervision of Assistant Director, FCS&CA Rahul Gupta. Tehsil-level teams led by TSOs are carrying out joint enforcement operations in coordination with the Revenue Department, Police and Legal Metrology Department to ensure strict compliance with prescribed norms.

During the inspections, special focus is being laid on preventing hoarding, black marketing, overcharging and diversion of LPG cylinders. The teams are also verifying stock positions, delivery mechanisms and adherence to notified rates. Additionally, efforts are being made to ensure that domestic consumers receive priority supply without inconvenience.

The District Administration has reiterated that adequate and uninterrupted supply of Petrol, Diesel and Domestic LPG is available across Samba district and there is no shortage of petroleum products.

Citizens are advised not to panic, avoid unnecessary booking or hoarding and refrain from spreading rumours. It has been emphasized that domestic households will continue to remain the top priority for LPG supply.
