Adv Devraj in his address said that the tryst with the Tiranga in Jammu and Kashmir is a saga of struggle and sacrifices for the unity and sovereignty of Bharat. Historically, the region has witnessed intense debates and protests surrounding the hoisting of the national flag, with the Praja Parishad agitation in the 1950s being a notable example. The movement, led by the Jammu Praja Parishad, aimed to fully integrate Jammu and Kashmir with India, opposing the special status granted under Article 370 , said Devraj.

Schools and colleges have organized Tiranga rallies, bike rallies, and other patriotic events, instilling a sense of national pride and unity among students. These events have not only promoted patriotism but also encouraged community participation and social cohesion .

The campaign has witnessed widespread participation from citizens, government officials, police personnel, and local communities. District administrations across Jammu and Kashmir have organized Tiranga rallies, bike rallies, and other events to promote the campaign. The collective effort has created a sense of ownership and responsibility among citizens, fostering a deeper connection with the nation , added Devraj.

The Har Ghar Tiranga Abhiyan is a significant initiative that has brought the people of Jammu and Kashmir together in a celebration of national pride and unity. As we approach Independence Day, Advocate Devaraj Sharma urged citizens to continue participating in the campaign and to hoist the national flag at their homes, symbolizing their commitment to the nation .

This campaign, part of the Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav celebrations, has witnessed widespread participation across Kashmir, with citizens proudly displaying the national flag at their homes, schools, and public spaces.

Devraj said the campaign has instilled a sense of national pride and unity among Kashmiris, who are now more willing to participate in patriotic events and display the national flag. The abrogation of Article 370 has brought about a significant shift in the region's dynamics, with a marked decrease in stone-pelting incidents and strikes, and an increase in tourism and economic activity.

He said the campaign has promoted a sense of unity and belonging among Kashmiris, who are now more inclined to identify themselves as Indians and celebrate national events. The campaign has seen participation from all sections of society, including students, government officials, and security personnel, who have organized Tiranga rallies and other events to promote patriotism and national pride .
