KULGAM: District Level Committee (DLC) meeting under the Pradhan Mantri Jan Vikas Karyakram (PMJVK) was today held at Kulgam with an aim to formulate a comprehensive plan under the scheme.The meeting was chaired by Deputy Commissioner (DC) Kulgam, Athar Aamir Khan.

The PMJVK scheme aims to improve the socio-economic conditions of people  particularly  weaker communities by providing them with basic amenities like education, health, infrastructure, skill development and employment opportunities for the youth. The committee discussed various aspects of the scheme, including interventions required in education, health, infrastructure development and skill development sectors in the district.

During the meeting, the DDC  instructed concerned to frame  sector wise comprehensive plan under the scheme for holistic development of the district. DDC emphasized the need of expediting submission of Project Proposal Reports (PPRs) and Detailed Project Reports (DPRs) to ensure the seamless execution of the PMJVK scheme in the district.

He also impressed for effective implementation of PMJVK in district & urged the officers to work in synergy  to maximize the benefits of the scheme for the people of district. The meeting was attended by Principals of  GDCs of  Kulgam, Kilam, DH Pora, Frisal;  GM DIC, CPO, ACR, CMO, CEO, Principal  Polytechnic, Superintendent ITI, DSWO, Executive Engineer R&B, AD Handicraft&  Handloom, EO's of Municipal Committes of Kulgam, Yaripora & Devsar.
