REASI: In a significant step towards strengthening the district's efforts to combat substance abuse, the district administration Reasi has established an Addiction Treatment Facility (ATF) at District Hospital under the special initiative of Deputy Commissioner Kumar Abhishek.
The facility aims to provide accessible, comprehensive and confidential treatment services to individuals struggling with substance dependence, while supporting the district administration's mission to build a drug-free society.
The ATF will provide medical consultation, treatment, counselling and guidance to help individuals overcome addiction and lead healthy, drug-free lives. Prescribed medicines will also be provided free of cost, subject to availability.
Special emphasis will be laid on safeguarding the dignity, privacy and well-being of patients. All personal information, medical records and treatment details will be maintained with strict confidentiality. The dedicated ATF team will provide appropriate medical care, prescribed medication and continued support throughout the recovery process, helping patients reintegrate into a healthy and productive life.
The establishment of the facility marks an important step towards strengthening healthcare support for individuals affected by substance abuse and reinforces the district administration's commitment to creating a drug-free Reasi.
