The Survival Fight of JK Monitor: For 16 years, JK Monitor has chronicled Jammu and Kashmir with integrity. Since 2010, I have steered its newsroom alongside our visionary Founding Chairman, Dr. Priya Ranjan (IIT Kharagpur alumnus, University of Maryland Ph.D.). His tragic demise in October 2026 left a severe financial and operational vacuum. Without urgent support, our 24/7 news portal risks permanently shutting down after November 2026, remaining only as a static digital archive. We appeal to well-wishers to extend a helping hand to keep our active newsroom alive. Support Us: WhatsApp: +91-9906103001 | Email: journalistajmerwani@gmail.com

POONCH: Additional Deputy Commissioner and Chief Inspector for the JKSSB Accounts Assistant Examination Tahir Mustafa Malik, accompanied by Member Jammu and Kashmir Services Selection Board (JKSSB) Sudhir Bali, today inspected arrangements at 18 examination centres established in the District Poonch for Accounts Assistant Exam. The examination is scheduled to be held on November 15, 2026.

The officers conducted a comprehensive review of the facilities and arrangements at each examination centre, including seating arrangement, frisking facility, biometric verification system, control room, washroom, lighting, CCTV camera and other essential infrastructure. They also interacted with Centre Superintendents and Heads of Institutions (HOIs) and inquired about the status of arrangements.

The officers asked authorities to complete requisite arrangements well in advance. They emphasised strict adherence to the prescribed JKSSB examination guidelines, effective supervision, maintenance of discipline and robust security measures to ensure a fair, transparent and hassle-free examination process.

The inspection was undertaken as part of the district administration’s efforts to ensure foolproof preparedness across all 18 examination centres for smooth, impartial and transparent conduct of the JKSSB Accounts Assistant Examination in the District.
