The Survival Fight of JK Monitor : For 16 years, JK Monitor has chronicled Jammu and Kashmir with integrity. Since 2010, I have steered its newsroom alongside our visionary Founding Chairman, Dr. Priya Ranjan (IIT Kharagpur alumnus, University of Maryland Ph.D.), who treated me like a brother and mentor. His tragic demise in October 2026 left a severe financial and operational vacuum. Without urgent support, our 24/7 news portal risks permanently shutting down after November 2026, remaining only as a static digital archive. We appeal to well-wishers to extend a helping hand to keep our active newsroom alive. Support Us: WhatsApp: +91-9906103001 | Email: journalistajmerwani@gmail.com

BARAMULLA: To strengthen grievance redressal mechanism and further enhance public service delivery, the District Administration Baramulla today organized a District Level Dissemination Workshop at Dak Bungalow Baramulla as part of the ‘Prashashan Gaon Ki Ore’ initiative under Good Governance Week. The event was presided over by Additional Deputy Commissioner Baramulla, Dr. Zahoor Ahmad Raina, and was attended by Chief Planning Officer, Assistant Commissioner Development, along with other district officers and officials.

During the session, ADC reviewed the grievances addressed throughout the week, including those resolved through platforms like JKIGRAMS and the JK Samadhan portal. He highlighted the significance of field visits conducted during the program, which allowed officers to directly engage with citizens, understand their concerns and provide timely resolutions. In his remarks, the CPO outlined the comprehensive grievance redressal efforts undertaken during the Good Governance Week, reiterating the administration's dedication to citizen-centric governance.

The ACD emphasized that grievance redressal camps would continue to be held at the block level to ensure accessibility for rural communities and to address public issues at the grassroots level, fostering trust and transparency. The workshop also featured presentations by officers from various departments, who shared insights on welfare schemes designed to uplift communities. They encouraged citizens to take advantage of these initiatives for socio-economic improvement.
