SOPORE: As part of Jammu and Kashmir Police’s ongoing public outreach initiative, Police in Sopore organized Thana Diwas at all Police Stations across Police District Sopore to enhance police-public engagement and foster stronger public relations.

The meetings were attended by officers of Sopore Police, including SDPOs and SHOs, along with PRI members, respectables, traders, transporters, and local residents. During these interactive sessions, participants raised various issues related to law and order, drug abuse, traffic management, and public safety. Police officers assured timely redressal of genuine grievances and sensitized participants about ongoing initiatives aimed at maintaining peace and social harmony.

Citizens appreciated the efforts of Police for organizing such interactive platforms and emphasized the need for regular engagement between police and the public. Police reaffirmed its commitment to community-centric policing, transparency, and sustained public engagement to strengthen mutual trust and cooperation for peace and security in the district.
