UDHAMPUR: Deputy Commissioner Udhampur, Saloni Rai, convened a District Level Committee meeting to review the physical and financial progress achieved under the Holistic Agriculture Development Program in the district. The meeting was held in the Mini Conference Hall DC Office Complex.
At the outset, Chief Agriculture Officer Sanjay Anand provided a detailed briefing on the current status of HADP supported Agriculture and Allied sector projects. The DC stressed the need to expedite the approval of applications received on the HADP portal. She emphasized achieving a zero-rejection rate and instructed officers to assist farmers in addressing deficiencies in their applications.
Highlighting the importance of increasing farmer participation, the DC directed all officers to adopt a proactive approach, surpassing predefined targets to enroll as many farmers as possible. She further instructed Sub-Divisional Magistrates and Tehsildars to monitor HADP progress at the Sub-Division level in coordination with Agriculture Extension Officers.
To enhance outreach, the Deputy Commissioner emphasized organizing special camps aimed at facilitating farmer participation in HADP. She urged the officers to ensure seamless implementation of the program and address farmers' concerns effectively.
